Witch’s Will For A  Sunday Mourning

I will remain in “mourning” while Obama’s unworthy ass sits in the Oval Office.

Quote of the day:

A hypocrite is the kind of politician who would cut down a redwood tree, then mount the stump and make a speech for conservation. ~ Adlai E. Stevenson

Best Sunday Column:

What, Obama worry?

  by Michael Goodwin

Can the United States survive the remaining 3 1/2 years of the Obama presidency? That was the question I asked a well-known veteran of Washington politics and national-security issues. Though a Democrat, he is trusted and respected by both parties for his many years of advice and troubleshooting service to the nation.

I asked the question because our long conversation reflected shared worries about the rise of Islamic fundamentalism and America’s retreat. We discussed the disasters of Syria, Benghazi and Obama’s strange support for the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi in Egypt. We agreed the odds were growing that Iran would get a nuclear weapon and feared what it would mean for Israel and our Arab allies.

We expressed shock at the lasting damage done to our intelligence agencies by Edward Snowden, the sloppy background check that enabled him to get security clearance in the first place and the Keystone Kops effort to capture him. We winced that our nation’s reputation was an international punch line as Russia and China mocked our president.

Given that context, my question of whether America can survive Obama was not just a figure of speech or an exaggerated musing. I meant it literally.

My friend understood my meaning.

“I don’t know,” he said. When I pressed him, he reviewed the scope of the global disorder we had just discussed, and repeated his answer. “I don’t know,” he said a second time.

The exchange happened last week, and my heart skips a beat when I recall it. His answer wasn’t what I expected or hoped for.

Despite my pessimism, I wanted to be talked out of it. I wanted this wise man, with his experience and calm temperament, to tell me not to worry, that we had been through worse before and America would be fine.

Maybe we will be fine. But the sense that the walls are closing in on us and that we are showing weakness to an emboldened, hostile world fills me with dread. I have a growing fear we are on the verge of a catastrophe.

It didn’t help that the Army announced it will trim our forces by 80,000 troops over five years and said more reductions might also be necessary to meet budget reductions.

Nor does it help that our president seems somewhere between indifferent and oblivious to growing global threats. His $100 million, weeklong family trip to Africa, no doubt to be followed by an August vacation, seems off-key.

And his answers at a press conference in Senegal to questions about Snowden were beyond bizarre. As my colleague Geoff Earle wrote from Washington, the president adopted a “What, me worry?” tone.

And meanwhile the race-baiting POS prances around Africa as if he wasn’t a man whose African forebears sold blacks into slavery and whose American  forebears owned slaves who married a woman whose lineage includes both slaves and  slave owners.Perish the thought that those “facts” ever get into the MSM or into the information that citizens are fed about our first “Black” president.

Media Malpractice:

President Obama Refuses to Personally Press Putin to Give Up Snowden; Only Fox  News Reports

On the Friday morning edition of Fox and Friends, the  panel discussed, among other things, President Obama’s trip to Africa along with  the continuing saga of Edward Snowden and the NSA leaks.

At one point, they  played a clip of the president at the joint news conference in Senegal where the  president admitted that he did not personally contact the presidents of China or  Russia because “number one, I shouldn’t have to. This is something that  routinely is dealt with between law enforcement officials and various  countries.” [Link to  the audio]

However, host Steve Doocy and guest host Tucker Carlson were adept in  pointing out that Obama has been more than ready to pick up his phone and call a  number of people about far more trivial situations, albeit those that served to  advance his liberal agenda.

For example, President Obama personally called the  plaintiffs in the Propostition 8 case to congratulate them after the Supreme  Court ruling came out. Additionally, he found the time to call Jason Collins, the gay basketball player as well as the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles after he signed Michael Vick.

Another Race-based Show Trial Turns Into Farce

By Clarice  Feldman

1.The  Sound of Wet Grass: Black Racists’ War on Black Women

The  Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman case has come to trial this week and the best  thing that’s been said about it is from Thomas Maguire: “I’m proud to say I live  in a country where the show trials look more like an SNL [Saturday Night Live]  skit.”

You  probably won’t know that if your source of information about the trial is the  mainstream media and if your lifestyle doesn’t permit you to sit in front of the  TV for hours watching the trial. Instead, go to Legal Insurrection, a  blog site run by Clinical Law Professor William A. Jacobson, where a defense  counsel, Andrew Branca, has been summarizing the trial day by day with video  snippets to illustrate his points, or Talk Left where Jeralyn Merritt ,  a noted defense counsel, has been dissecting this nothingburger of a  case.

As  the Friday hearing drew to a close, Branca reported the effective end of the prosecution’s misbegotten  case:

A  neighbor, John Good, who witnessed the fight between Trayvon Martin and George  Zimmerman has just devastated the State’s case, testifying that he saw the fight  between the two, that Trayvon was on top punching Mixed Martial Arts style, and  that the scream must have come from Zimmerman because Zimmerman was on the  bottom and Trayvon was faced away from the witness.

To  date, the prosecution has put on a number of witnesses who also confirm  Zimmerman’s account of events. There’s not one shred of evidence that supports  the prosecution’s view of the case. “Taps” should have been the background music  for the key prosecution witness “Dee Dee” whose real name turns out to be Rachel  Jeantel. She was on the phone with Trayvon when the incident occurred and her  letter to Trayvon’s mother purportedly describing the events and her deposition  by the Martin’s attorney, Crump, form the heart of the prosecution’s case.

Her  testimony was conceded to be false at several points and the remainder collapsed  on cross-examination. Rick Ballard said  in the middle of her testimony that he pictured the prosecution “laying back in  a nice warm bath this evening, straight razor in hand, trying to remember the  exact location of jugular veins and carotid arteries.”

It  turns out the letter the prosecution relied on was written by someone else, and  while Jeantel signed it she cannot even read the cursive in which it was  written. The Martins’ counsel choreographed her account of  the events and he misled the Court about the circumstances.

Meanwhile,  the Obamas are on a hundred-million dollar trip to Africa, with Friday’s  papers featuring them looking out of the Goree Island Historical Museum in  Senegal which is likely not what it is said to be — an old slave transport facility. Fitting that they  should pick this pretend site to further stir racism and encourage a continuation  of the white guilt — in most cases utterly unwarranted and in any event not  productive — that saw Barack win two elections.

Only  in America

…could  a man whose African forebears sold blacks into slavery and whose American  forebears owned slaves marry a woman whose lineage includes both slaves and  slave owners.
